Gravida members regularly contribute to national working groups revising clinical practice guidelines. In 2012, Gravida also awarded funding to Professor Caroline Crowther (Professor of Maternal and Perinatal Health, Liggins Institute) to ensure research evidence being uncovered in maternal care would be translated into new clinical practice guidelines. These guidelines will become part of doctors’ expected care and practice, consistent across both Australia and , and will be developed in consultation with bodies such as RANZCOG and RNZCGP. The first guideline under development is for ‘Repeat Antenatal Corticosteriods for Women at Risk of Pre-term Birth’ (due in 2014).
