Our Structure
Gravida is a virtual research centre - its members are dispersed throughout the country in six partner institutions:
- AgResearch Ltd (Hamilton and Palmerston North)
- Landcorp Farming Ltd (Wellington)
- Massey University (Palmerston North and Albany)
- University of Otago (Dunedin and Christchurch)
- University of Canterbury (Christchurch)
To facilitate effective coordination, Gravida’s Director is supported by an Executive Team whose members represent the partner sites and major discipline areas. Governance is provided by Gravida’s Board, with science strategy input from an internationally-respected Scientific Advisory Board.
In accordance with the CoRE model, Gravida’s administrative centre is hosted by one of the partner institutions – in our case we are hosted by . Other CoREs’ administration centres are similarly hosted by one of their partner institutions. Gravida is located within the Liggins Institute on ’s Grafton Campus opposite Auckland Hospital.
